Design and Technology Subject Leader- Miss Allister
Hello! I’m Miss Allister and I’m proud to lead Design and Technology at Eastburn. DT is a subject I love because it empowers children to be creative, innovative, and resilient problem-solvers.
Our curriculum is designed to build skills year on year, giving pupils opportunities to work with a wide range of materials such as wood, textiles, food, and digital tools. DT helps children see how creativity connects to the real world — from engineering and architecture to everyday problem-solving — while also linking with science, maths, and computing.
Through hands-on projects, children are encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their achievements. Above all, we want to inspire a lifelong love of design and making, and maybe even spark the curiosity of future inventors and creators!
