Eastburn Primary School

PE

Mrs Harriet Brewer – PE Subject Lead

Hello! I’m Harriet, and I’m proud to be the PE Lead at Eastburn. Physical education is a real passion of mine, and I believe every child can benefit from a high-quality PE curriculum.

At Eastburn, we offer a broad and balanced programme that helps children build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of being active. Our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for all, with a focus on health, teamwork, and resilience.

Beyond lessons, we run a wide range of after-school clubs and competitions, giving pupils exciting opportunities to try new sports, develop their talents, and represent the school. Above all, we want every child to leave Eastburn with positive experiences of PE and the confidence to stay active for life.

National School Sports Week

National School Sports Week is an annual celebration of PE, play and sport and aims to encourage as many people as possible to get involved.

This year marks 30 years of the Youth Sport Trust, and they're making it bigger than ever! National School Sports Week is calling on schoolsfamilies and organisations to get involved, host the UK’s biggest ever Sports Day, and champion 60 minutes of PE, sport and play every day to help all young people be Always Active.

We are encouraging as many of YOU as possible to get involved this week (16th-22nd June) and take part in one (or more!) of our active challenges a day. We would love to see pictures too, so please report back to us: brewerh@eastburn.mlt.co.uk
