Mrs Hannah Green – Music Lead

Hello! I’m the Music Lead at Eastburn and I’m passionate about music both in and out of school. Music brings so many benefits—it boosts confidence, memory, and perseverance, while also giving children opportunities to create, perform, and work together.

At Eastburn, music is part of everyday school life as well as taught in dedicated lessons. Children enjoy listening to a wide range of music, singing, playing instruments, and composing. They also have regular opportunities to perform to their peers, parents, and the wider community.

Beyond lessons, we offer extra-curricular opportunities such as choir and community performances. Our pupils have sung at local care homes, hospitals, and at St George’s Hall in Bradford for events like the “Big Sing” and the Schools’ Prom. For those who want to take their music further, we also offer instrumental lessons with specialist teachers, giving children the chance to experience music beyond the classroom.

Above all, we want every child to develop a lifelong enjoyment of music, whether through listening, performing, or creating.

We offer instrumental lessons through Bradford Music and Arts. Currently, we provide small-group tuition in guitar, ukulele, percussion/drums, and keyboard. Other instruments may also be available if there is enough demand, so please feel free to request any instrument on the application form, which you can access using the link below.
